About Us
UXSA began its commercial operations in Guatemala more than 35 years ago with the export of cardamom. While the firm was able to capitalize on a growing, niche market, it remained innovative and dynamic and, in the following years, expanded its operations into other agribusinesses. In 1998, Unisource Holding Inc. was formed in the Bahamas to encompass a number of related companies that stretched geographically and operationally. Currently the group enjoys a reputation as one of the largest and most progressive groups in the area and its principal activities, through its subsidiaries, are:
- Exporting coffee and cardamom in Guatemala (San Lazaro S.A. and Agro Diversas S.A.)
- Production, processing and exportation of sesame seeds and its derivatives in Guatemala, Venezuela and Paraguay (Semillas Universales S.A., Agroproductos Sesame S.A. and Agroland S.A.)
- The import and distribution of fertilizers in Guatemala and distribution of fertilizers in El Salvador (Fertilizantes Maya S.A. and Fertilizantes del Istmo S.A.)
- Real estate development in Guatemala
- Commodity trading through its subsidiary Multitrading S.A.
